Shiatsu and Palliative Care - A New Energy Work webinar

Tuesday 2 February 2021 6-7pm (gmt)

"To work with the dying requires a certain maturity which only comes from experience. We have to take a long, hard look at our own attitude towards death and dying before we can sit quietly and without anxiety next to a terminally ill patient"

This is planned as a live guided tour of two Edinburgh cemeteries and the streets between them. We will visit women's graves, hear their stories and learn about some of the Leith local history from the point of view of the women who lived there through the ages. If the Covid rules remain in place, it will be moved online. More information here and to book a ticket

Sunday 21 February 2021 10.15-12.45 (gmt)

In this workshop, you will learn supportive and appropriate movements and self-touch skills to help you connect with your body and feelings, to provide a sense of solidity and relief. These simple to learn techniques can then be adapted or practised on others, with their permission. Instead of not knowing how we can help, we will have something, literally, at our fingertips.

The Rhythms of the Organs

Tuesdays 16 February 2021 - 23 March inclusive 6-7.30pm

An online walking group. Each of the five Organs, the Zhang-Fu in East Asian Medicine, have a rhythm. The movement pattern of the Liver is different from that of the Kidney, which contrasts with the Heart. They, in turn, are distinct from both the Lung and the Spleen. Getting into the groove of each one is a way of connecting with their Qi / Chi and understanding them more. What better way to find that song, but to walk with them?
