About Me
I am a Shiatsu practitioner, teacher, writer and walking artist based in Edinburgh, UK.
I enjoy travelling - teaching internationally, giving Shiatsu, and quietly walking the world. I uphold the values of respect for all, and endeavour to work with integrity and honesty.
I qualified as a Shiatsu practitioner 28 years ago after 4 years of study, and have an inclusive practice, working with people of all ages with a wide range of health concerns. With extensive experience of Shiatsu during pregnancy, with babies and children, and as part of cancer care, I am currently focusing on touch for those who are grieving or at the end of life. I worked on the Complementary Therapy team at my local hospice in Edinburgh before the pandemic. I am a member of the CNHC Profession Specific Board for Shiatsu and also edit the summer Shiatsu Society Journal.
You can find more information on my practice and how to book a session on the Shiatsu part of this site.
My first book, Working with Death and Loss in Shiatsu Practice – A Guide to Holistic Bodywork in Palliative Care was published by Singing Dragon (Hachette) on 21 August 2020.
You can find out more information about it here, read a review here, order a copy here from your local high street bookshop, or from Amazon.
